Romanyk Consulting Corp. (RCC) designed full design-bid-build package to demolish and renovate 6,910 SF of an existing clinical space within Building 1 at the OKCVA. The design incorporates the VA’s PACT Space Module Design Guide and industry best practices.

It is the first stand-alone design of two more Primary Care renovations into the PACT model at the Oklahoma VAMC. At the Kick Off Meeting, the VA requested the Pathology Specimen Collection Area be incorporated into the first phase.

The space is programmed for 8 blood draw and 1 specimen collection toilet and 1 drug testing collection toilet. The resulting space for the PACT module contains eight (8) exam rooms, two vitals alcoves, two patient toilets, team work area and support area. The support space of clean utility, soiled holding, logistics storage, staff toilet and staff lockers is designed to support the adjacent PACT area.

RCC provided the following services: project management, architecture, interior design, mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety engineering and IT/ data systems. Hazardous material evaluation and identification were done by SCI Engineering.
